Self-taught frame drum musician John Lee（www.johnleeframedrum.com） is back to the Art Centre! John will share his years of experiences on learning frame drum and overtone singing, and introduce basic frame drum techniques around the world, the component and method of music composition, as well as throat singing techniques. There will be an extract of video screening of his latest frame drum performance, Yi Tien, an outdoor performance at NamChung 2008.

Participants are welcome to have a hands-on experience on frame drum and throat singing. John will also give an introductory session and speak about how to transform traditional frame drum techniques/ideas to become personal sound. Don’t miss this rare occasion to get your hands on frame drum.

* Participants have to bring their own hand drum, any type of frame drum or tambourine.
